Clan Maclean Heritage Trust

Donations and subscriptions

Donations and subscriptions are the life-blood of the Trust. Without them the Trust could not continue its vital work of promoting and educating the public in the history, traditions and music of the Clan Maclean. All contributions are most gratefully received and acknowledged.

Donations of objects
If you would like to donate books, documents or any other objects associated with Maclean history, please contact the Secretary (see below) in order to make the necessary arrangements. He will consult with the Trustees about, for example, where such a gift should best be displayed.

Payment methods
Donations of money or subscriptions to the Friends may be made online, either by debit/credit card or from a PayPal account, or by mail, in the form of a cheque or a written instruction to debit a credit/debit card.

Please pay online, either by debit/credit card or from a PayPal account, if you can. PayPal charges us less than credit card companies do if we charge your card directly. Online payment is therefore a more effective use of your money.

Donations of money
Donations may be made for general use or specifically to the Lady Maclean Fund. If you would like to give money for another specific purpose, please contact the Secretary to discuss this.

For online payment of a donation of money, please go to the Online payment page and complete the details in the Donation section. You will then be taken to a PayPal payment page, from which you may make payment by debit/credit card or from your PayPal account. Please note that you do not have to have a PayPal account in order to pay by debit/credit card through PayPal.

Donors who do not have access to the internet or simply prefer not to use online payment should send either a cheque (in pounds sterling only, please) payable to the Clan Maclean Heritage Trust or a written instruction to debit your debit/credit card to the Secretary. An instruction form can be down-loaded from this site by clicking here or may be obtained from the Secretary by written request. (This form should be used for mailing purposes only; for online payment, see above.)

Friends subscriptions
New subscriptions can be taken out, subscriptions can be renewed and gifts of membership can be made and renewed online or by mail. For details, see the Friends page.

Gift Aid declarations
If you are a UK-taxpayer, please complete and send to the Secretary a Gift Aid declaration. This increases the value of your gift or subscription to the Trust by 28%, at no cost to the donor or subscriber. Higher rate taxpayers may reclaim part of their donation or subscription through their Self Assessment tax return.

This form requires your signature and cannot therefore be completed online. You may download the required form from here. It can then be completed offline or it can be printed and completed by hand. Alternatively this form can also be obtained by writing to the Secretary of the Trust (see below). The completed form should be signed and mailed to the Secretary.

Forms
All the forms mentioned above or on the Friends page are available from this website, either for completion online or as downloads, or may be obtained from the Acting Secretary of the Trust by written request:

Legacies
Another way of contributing to the continuing work of the Trust is by making a legacy in favour of the Trust.

Making a will is always a personal matter and we recognise that family and friends come first. If however you felt able to leave something to the Trust in your will, we would be deeply grateful. For more information, please see the Legacies page.
